Jasmin and Michael - May 12, 2007

Last fall, I had the pleasure of conducting an engagement session with Jasmin and Michael amongst brightly coloured leaves and the urban appeal of Whyte Avenue. Last Saturday, with spring upon us, their wedding arrived and was blessed with sunny skies, vibrant green grasses and hundreds of loving family and friends.

The shooting began early in the morning with Jasmin and her bridesmaids prepping for the day.

Jasmin's maid of honour, Annie, helps her with her dress.

The ceremony took place at the Trinity Baptist Church in Sherwood Park. Here, the bride and her father make their entrance.

The couple exhanged both traditional vows and their own in front of happy friends and family.

Jasmin and Michael begin their marriage.

After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Irene Parlby park for some formals under the sun. Below, the stunning bride poses for a portrait.

A group of beautiful ladies always makes for a great photo. This one features the bride, her two sisters, and maid of honour.

Michael and Jasmin flash each other loving smiles.

The newlyweds share an affectionate moment.

The reception was held at the the Edmonton Golf and Country club. After a great dinner, touching speeches brought about laughter, tears, and everything in between.

Jasmin is a woman of many talents and one of them is her amazing singing voice. Halfway through the speeches, she surprised her new husband and wooed the crowd with a song dedicated to him.

The happy couple cuts the cake.

With beautiful late day light blanketing the ground, we snuck outside for a few more photos.

The newlyweds share a passionate kiss.

Jasmin and Michael, thank you so much for choosing me to record your day. After meeting you last fall, I was convinced your wedding would be a special one and it was. Here's wishing you two many more happy adventures together. Cheers!

The bride & groom are currently honeymooning in beautiful New Zealnd, so we are anxiously awaiting their return to see the rest of the photo journey.
