Stephanie and Sandy - Engagement Session

On Friday, June 23, 2006, I hade the oppotunity to do an engagement shoot with a great couple from Ontario. Originally from Alberta, Stephanie and Sandy will be holding their wedding in Edmonton next year.

Our evening began at Hawrelak Park before we set off for the Muttart Conservatory. The weather was amazing and the late evening light complimented this handsome couple well.

Shooting along the roof of the Muttart is enjoyable. The glass pyramids and view of the skyline leave no shortage of great backdrops for photos. Still Albertan at heart, this couple wanted to ensure their photos had a strong Edmonton feel.

Thank you, Stephanie and Sandy - I had a great time and hope you did as well.

Tim and Sheena - Saturday, June 3, 2006

The forecast looked dismal on Friday night. Rain, wind ... general late spring ugliness. But on Tim and Sheena's big day the sky was bright blue and the wind soothing.

The wedding was a happy one and it show's in the photos. Tim and Sheena are a warm and friendly couple and their wedding party both helpful and alot of fun. While Sheena's maid of honour worked endlessly to look after Sheena's train, Tim's best man ensured I got the shots I wanted no matter how wacky the pose.

As you can see, Sheena looked great. The formals were done at Irene Parlby park in Edmonton's river valley. Although it doesn't provide many large, shady areas for bright and hot afternoons, the greenery is beautiful and the benches and large, charismatic trees provide plenty of variety for wedding photography.

Thank you, Tim and Sheena, for the opportunity to share in your special day - an enjoyable experience for all.
